WORKSHOPS
- Wild Wholecloth / Glammed up Quilting
Cushion or small wall-hanging sized piece: complete a pre-longarm-quilted spirograph design with various quilting designs using a domestic sewing machine and embellish with threads, fabric paints & crystals/buttons
- Celebratory Bunting

- Create a half sized Yurt panel 15” x 30”in 2 days
- How to Cheat at Giant Stars - based on “Silent Movie Star”
- How to Look Good at FMQ (even if you have to fake it!)

Make posh bunting with names or greetings: make triangular or heraldic shaped flags or use up orphan 6” blocks; flags could also be cut from a machine quilted pennants finished with binding on all sides; flags to be strung onto lengths of bias binding
Machine quilt as you go strips or crazy pieces, add ribbons & rickrack, prairie points/yoyos/buttons and add some fancy stitching
Piece “Celtic Circles” OR “The Lizard” OR “Heather Strippy” then quilt marked circles that are filled with a variety of free-motion machine stitches then add a basic background fill
Use half square triangles to make a cheat’s Christmas Star sofa quilt or wall hanging and mark out some fancy quilting
Drawing and quilt marking techniques; using a wide range of threads and how to hide the boo-boos – make workshop samples that can be used as book covers or table mats
Use a laptop, printer/scanner and overhead projector to enlarge a simple image to create a thread painting wall quilt
Draw, mark & quilt a fancy paisley feather onto a richly coloured background fabric then add glamour with fancy fillers and added sparkly bits
Piece Drunkard’s Path blocks using Linzi’s hand dyed fabrics then mark with undulating circular quilting lines. Kits can be pre-ordered for this class.
