Lamé Freemotion Quilting Art Canvas - fearless freestyle quilting on lamé that is attached to an art canvas for display

Pancake Quilt As You Like It - learn how to make a circular “quilt as you go” block that can become as big as you like from a small pot-holder up to a huge quilt until you run out of fabric. Any fabric will work but Ethnic patterns look fantastic

Patchwork Hottie - use “orphan” blocks or leftover scraps to make a simple hot water bottle with fold-over top and popper

Pot Luck Block Party - drop in and make a selection of random blocks in your choice of fabrics that will eventually make a modern sampler quilt

Printed Chiffon Scarves - use Indian stamps to create unique chiffon scarves then add a smart roll hemmed edge, beads/pompom fringe can be added for an extra posh finish

Quilt Binding Masterclass - learn how to cut and sew double-fold binding or bias binding, add accent flanges, trims, prairie points; cheat at machine sewn binding for utility quilts

One Day or Longer Workshops Advanced Techniques and Full Sized Quilts

Beaded Leather Evening Bags - bravely quilt leather with free motion quilting or using a walking foot, sew on semi precious stones by hand and give it a professional finish

Beginners Patchwork - enrol for patchwork from the beginning. The course will include some history of styles of patchwork, basic cutting and piecing of simple blocks to make a traditional sampler block quilt

Bifrost Improv Curved Piecing - use a rotary cutter to cut freestyle without rulers or templates. Sew curved pieces together without any pins! Blocks can be embellished with machine embroidery stitching then arranged funkily

Christmas Kugels - make a table centre of German style “glass” baubles, fairy lights and add festive free-motion stitch motifs

Christmas Snowglobe - create a winter snow globe scene using a skyline of your choice, add sparkle and snowflake inspired free motion quilting

Christmas Bargello Throw - Piece lots of strip pieced squares to run up a cosy quilt for Christmas (with permission from Quiltville’s Bonnie Hunter)

Coloured Mini Wholecloth - make a mini version of award-winning whole-cloth quilt, Beelzebub with stitching, pencils and paints

Domestic Machine Quilting Classes - learn how to layer and mark a small practice quilt. Get to know when to use the “walking foot” and various free-motion quilting feet. Experiment with different threads and stitch sizes, sketch and practise quilting different free-motion quilt designs. Find out how to use speciality rulers and templates on a domestic machine

Double Wedding Ring - workshop on how to construct a challenging classic pattern. Variations include the even trickier pickle dish pattern

Drunkard’s Path Quilt - learn how to make a curved pieced classic quilt without pins!

Dunes Duet - an award winning quilt designed by Ann Long and quilted by Linzi. It uses very simple block units but they are set on point (arranged in diagonal rows). The Dunes bed quilt looks especially good in soothing, coastal colours

Five Bar Gate Panel - start with a simple 5Bar Amish style strip quilt which can be made more complicated with optional additional piecing. Draw curves and lines on the quilt which will be quilted on a domestic machine using the walking foot

Goosey Guddle - is a quilt based on a 1930’s feed-sack quilt. It is pieced using a rotary cutter and straight ruler. It includes the square-in-a-square block, flying geese, and adding corner triangles. This quilt should be as scrappy as possible;)

Happy Wee Hooses Quilt - Make a patchwork table runner or quilt based on Quiltville (Bonnie Hunter’s) simple block design

Northern Lights Improv Strips Cushion - use a rotary cutter to free-cut skinny strips of brightly coloured fabric; this a simple introduction to curved piecing. Embellish with machine embroidery stitching the quilt with walking foot lines. Make into a cushion with a simple zip opening

Odd Shaped Quilts - use a die cutting machine to mass produce large, odd-shaped pieces of patchwork - Apple Core (curved piecing), Large Hexagon (set in seams), Tumblers (straightforward piecing)

Pimp My Quilt Table Runner! - Mark geometric patterns onto small wholecloth using compasses; fill with quilting patterns. Add funky background quilting and enhance with metallic fabric paint, crystals and other special embellishments

Pretty Hippy - a combination of raw edge appliqué and traditionally pieced simple blocks is just the start of a fun quilt which is stamped, stitched and decorated with shisha mirrors, pompoms or similarly kitch trimmings

Silent Movie Star - recreate the glamorous quilt that won the Loch Lomond Quilt Show in 2008; create a “fake” lonestar quilt without any tricky set-in seams in Cinematic Sepia, Film Noir or Bollywood colours

Smart Pleather Tote - quilt fake leather and make a stylish tote bag

Spandex Pouffe - Not for Cats! - quilt a shiny piece of lovely lamé and learn how to cover a firm sponge cylinder with piped edges and a zip. To be used as a glamorous footstool, not a cat scratching post;)

Tartan Tattoo - Tartan Tattoo is one of Linzi’s award winning quilts which can be recreated  just like the original or in other colour combinations. Quilting options will be explored

Longarm Quilting Masterclasses

Learn the basics of using a longarm machine and experience beginner templates, simple free motion designs and all over computer pantographs

Templates, Rulers and Tools - learn how to Stitch-in-the-Ditch and tackle simple cross-hatching in blocks using a longarm machine. Progress to using circle and arc templates to create repetitive designs or create new outline shapes on a patchwork top

Quilt circle outlines to be filled with a variety of free-motion texture fillers or work on a sampler of quilting designs. Learn how to mark a quilt top with stencils or more complex designs. Learn how to quilt to enhance appliqué and how to use a variety of threads
